Repatriation Visits

The Branch has been represented at many of the Repatriations of Royal Marines killed in Afghanistan over the last few years, whether at the “Station of Vigil” outside Gables Cross Police Station, for those returning through RAF Lyneham, or more recently at the new “Station of Vigil” for RMs and others, close to the Chequers Public House, for those returning now through RAF Brize Norton. On many occasions the family and friends of the fallen have joined us after the Vigil in having drinks in the memory of their loved ones, and to show their appreciation for our attendance. The staff at these venues have made us all very welcome, and have laid on sandwiches, tea and coffee, and our thanks go to them.
The photos here represent a selection of those very sad, but important occasions
