On Wednesday the 22nd January 2020 the funeral of Philip Andrew Robson Miller known to all his friends and associates as ‘Dusty’ was held at Barham Crematorium.
Standards from Deal RMA, Green Beret Association Deal , RMPT Branch, Deal RNA, Royal British Legion. THe Men of Kent marched in front of the Cortège led by WO1 Bugler Andrew Cornish to the entrance of the chapel
A guard of honour made up of many former servicemen and women also lined the approach road and entrance into the chapel. The coffin was carried by former Royal Marines and members of the family into the chapel where large numbers of people gathered.
During the service Dudley Cottingham recited a reading from Ecclesiates 12 verses 1 to 7. Bob Guest read the "Life and Times of Dusty", the last post and reveille were played by W01 Andrew Cornish.
After the service large numbers attended the wake at Deal RMA where a port toast was made to remember Dusty who was the standard bearer for Deal RMA, a former Trustee, and a Branch committee member.
Dusty will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
